Rain is a great subject. It is a great part of the hydrological cycle. For many people around the world it is a blessing. For some it is a nonstop problem.

I like to focus on the benefits.

  1. Free water.

  2. Plants do better with Rain water than city water.

  3. Rain water is naturally distilled water.

  4. For every 1/16" of rain fall per 1 square mile of hard surface run off equals over 1.086 million gallons of water.

  5. Rain water pulls co2 out of the atmosphere creating slightly acidic water that cleans plants and adds soluble nutrients directly to the plants. This is a perfect plant fertilizer.
